The new project Chainge by the founder of Multichain has trapped users' funds for months, and the promised solution has not been delivered.
PANews reported on May 23 that the cross-chain DeFi project Chainge has been trapping user funds for months, with promised solutions failing to materialize. The project is led by Multichain founder Zhao Jun (DJ Qian) and features both cross-chain bridges and decentralized exchange functions. User complaints indicate that from the end of 2024 to early 2025, a large number of users reported transaction delays that could not be processed, especially with the wKAS (wrapped Kaspa) cross-chain issues being the most severe. The team blames "malicious actors abusing the service for causing liquidity shortages," but wKAS has now significantly depegged, and the partnership with "kas.fyi" has been terminated. The project team stated on March 24 that "100% will be resolved," but as of May 22, this has not been fulfilled. The front-end page still has cross-chain functionality open, posing a risk of continuing to attract funds. Protos has reached out to the Chainge team for comments, but has not yet received a response.
