I did something interesting. We discussed different scholars' understanding of the roles of the world and humans. Alex helped me draw a coordinate axis, which makes it easier to see the differences.
The world has growth potential/worth nurturing (positive)
actively shape/transform (positive)
Accordingly, four quadrants are divided, namely:
I: Nourishing Shaper. Actively invested in building and caring under the premise that a world of trust can grow.
II: The Rebel Creator. In the face of a harsh reality, take the initiative to create change with strength and creativity.
III: Pessimistic Witness. Clearly seeing the cruelty, leaning towards choosing to endure, escape, or witness rather than transform.
IV: Guardian-type Nurturer. Believes that the world can be improved, but chooses to influence it through waiting, adapting, and listening.
To me, the world is still an infant in swaddling clothes, needing to be treated with a mother's patience.
