Wang Xin fully enters the Web3 space, focusing on the intersection of AI Agents and encryption economy.

From "Technology is Innocent" to "Technology is Fair": Wang Xin's New Journey in Web3

During the golden age of the internet in China, KuaiBo was a legend. This video player once accounted for 80% of the domestic video traffic, serving over 500 million users. The founder of KuaiBo, Wang Xin, also experienced the ups and downs of life.

After regaining his freedom, Wang Xin returned to the public eye with a brand new attitude. However, the road to his second entrepreneurship was not smooth. As the excitement for new products waned, he gradually faded from people's sight and remained silent for many years.

In early 2025, Wang Xin rekindled his entrepreneurial passion and announced that he would fully devote himself to Web3, focusing on the intersection of AI Agents and the crypto economy. He proposed the concept of "technological fairness" and regarded it as the core value of the next stage of entrepreneurship.

Recently, Wang Xin accepted an exclusive interview, sharing his reflections on the past, his dedication to fair technology, and his belief in starting anew in the wave of Web3.

Two Encounters with Blockchain

Wang Xin first came into contact with Bitcoin in 2011. Out of curiosity about decentralized currency, he studied the Bitcoin source code and mined some coins briefly. At that time, he was focused on the business of KuaiBo and did not conduct in-depth research. In his eyes, Bitcoin seemed more like a geek's experimental product: highly volatile, with an uncertain future.

"The mindset towards Bitcoin is completely different now." More than a decade has passed, and Wang Xin's view on Bitcoin has undergone a fundamental transformation. On one hand, he sincerely admires the innovation of blockchain technology; on the other hand, Bitcoin has gradually grown from being overlooked to becoming a mainstream asset on par with gold. Wang Xin stated that Bitcoin has established global trust through its community-driven and decentralized structure, overturning his initial doubts and providing him with many insights.

In 2018, Wang Xin regained his freedom and made a "high-profile comeback" at a gathering with several internet tycoons. At that time, there were many rumors that Wang Xin would venture into the blockchain field.

However, Wang Xin ultimately chose to establish Yun Ge Artificial Intelligence in Shenzhen, diving into the social and AI sector, and subsequently launched "Toilet" and "Ling Ge AI". Due to past experiences, Wang Xin stated that he was unwilling to lead a team into policy risks. "Investing fully in blockchain at that time might have crossed the red line," Wang Xin admitted.

Around 2018, despite the lingering heat of the ICO boom, regulatory policies were highly unclear, and the domestic blockchain startup environment tightened suddenly. As an entrepreneur responsible for his team and company, Wang Xin had previously demanded the dismissal of employees after the Kuai Bo incident, so that they could apply for labor arbitration to obtain compensation. Therefore, during his second startup, he was unwilling to let the team bear any risks. However, a small team within the company continued to monitor the blockchain industry and maintain their research and learning about the technology.

Entering Web3 After Years of Accumulation

After launching the social application "Toilet" and the recruitment product "Lingge AI" focusing on flexible employment, Wang Xin intends to step back from the public eye for three to four years. Regarding this "period of retreat", Wang Xin stated that it was intentional on his part, as well as a result of the environment.

"Lingge AI" and "Toilet" initially gained attention due to Wang Xin's "celebrity entrepreneur" aura, but their subsequent development has not been ideal. Both products failed to meet expectations, with the "Toilet" project even being halted before its launch. This rollercoaster experience made him realize the need for calm reflection. Wang Xin stated: "For a serial entrepreneur, this kind of adjustment is very important. I have had glory and experienced lows; I need a stronger mindset and clearer goals. Only by grounding myself can I go further."

During the several years of accumulation, Wang Xin also invested in several projects, mainly focusing on the hardware and AI fields, such as the recently rumored flying car company considering going public and a lidar company that holds a major share of the global market. Wang Xin stated that he did not intend to become an investor, but rather provided guidance and support at the invitation of friends, and as he gained a deeper understanding, he became involved in the investments. He revealed that he has not yet invested in any Web3 projects.

Although he has not officially entered the industry, Wang Xin has always had a deep connection with the blockchain sector. The P2P technology of Qvod allows all users to publish shared files and makes it difficult to be controlled by a central system, which is quite similar to the concept of blockchain network systems. In addition, Qvod also launched a traffic mining project aimed at integrating idle resources such as personal devices, home bandwidth, and enterprise nodes, optimizing real-time deployment through cloud computing, essentially leveraging the sharing economy model for CDN (Content Delivery Network). To some extent, this is also the prototype of today's DePIN.

With the rapid development of the AI industry and the popularization of large models like ChatGPT, as well as the gradual clarification of Web3 policies in places like Singapore and Hong Kong, Wang Xin realized that these two technologies, which significantly enhance productivity and improve production relations, can be integrated. This entry point also became his "gateway" into the Web3 industry.

Focus on Web3 + AI agent

In the entire AI industry, "Web3+AI" is still a niche track, and many so-called star "Web3+AI" projects have been criticized as "shoddy." In fact, Wang Xin's exploration and understanding of the AI field may exceed that of most current Web3 practitioners.

Based on his personal experience in entrepreneurship and investment, Wang Xin pointed out that small companies and teams face enormous cost pressures if they pursue a general AI platform. Computing power expenses typically account for 80-90% of the budget, making it difficult for entrepreneurs to sustain. He believes that instead of creating a general platform, it is better to focus on vertical scenarios and develop "small but beautiful" practical products, or to take an alternative approach by combining AI with Web3 to seek new business models.

"AI is highly centralized, including large models, which seem to have little connection with Web3. At this point, we are thinking about which part of AI will connect with individuals? That would be the AI agent," Wang Xin said.

The essence of an AI Agent is an orchestrated automation workflow that requires human involvement for tuning and decision-making. The choices made by humans regarding the results essentially contribute to the "training" of the Agent. Wang Xin believes that when a certain community or KOL repeatedly optimizes the same type of task, they possess the core value of this Agent. At this point, the ownership of the Agent and the distribution of profits should rightfully belong to these contributors themselves. With the public/private key system of Web3, each Agent can have a unique on-chain identity, and smart contracts record every contribution and corresponding profit in real time, ensuring that "data contributors" truly become "value recipients."

Moreover, Wang Xin believes that the two core elements of Web3 are asset issuance and asset transfer. The threshold for the former is getting lower, while the infrastructure for the latter is becoming increasingly完善. The real challenge lies in how to ensure that the issued assets continue to appreciate in value, and how to enable community participants, operational teams, and ordinary users to benefit within the ecosystem. He pointed out that the solution lies both in enhancing product capabilities and in effectively utilizing Web3 to reshape production relationships, which contains a wealth of potential innovations. For example, addressing the pain points of Web3 such as high learning costs, private key management, and Gas fee settings, to prevent the vast majority of internet users from being excluded. Only when the on-chain experience is sufficiently close to people's daily operations can new professions, new communities, and new entrepreneurial opportunities arise.

How do the "hidden" gaming giants view blockchain games?

Apart from the video player, the gaming platform "Kuaikan Game Box" under Kuai Bo was an important source of revenue for the company. This platform, which integrates a vast number of games, opened the door to the world of single-player games for countless players. At its peak, it even rivaled Steam's China region, with monthly active users exceeding one million, surpassing most blockchain game projects. However, in the Web3 field, the gaming sector, which was once highly anticipated, has remained sluggish for a long time.

"It's difficult to achieve both playability and decentralization." When asked about his outlook on the prospects of Web3 games, Wang Xin admitted that truly enjoyable games do not rely on Web3 for their existence. In reality, whether it's a blockbuster game, classic browser games, or single-player games, players seek immersion and fun rather than the underlying technology implementation. When developers blindly treat blockchain as a "funding tool" or "token issuance channel" layered on top of the game, it often compromises playability. Players having to learn private keys, worrying about transaction fees and asset security completely deviates from the original intention that "games should make people happy."

"If a new game simultaneously carries innovative gameplay and a Web3 model, the chances of success are extremely low." Wang Xin pointed out that the core of the game has always been content. Regardless of how technology iterates, players seek storylines, graphics, controls, and social experiences. The correct path should be to start from "a certain link." For example, using low-cost on-chain payments to replace traditional credit card and app store revenue sharing, saving 3-10% in fees to alleviate the pressure on game developers in customer acquisition and monetization. Furthermore, in the process of cross-border distribution, using stablecoins or multi-chain wallets for player top-ups, profit sharing, and withdrawals allows developers to reduce costs without expensive advertising spending.

When the payment and revenue-sharing aspects are seamlessly integrated into the game without any noticeable disruption, players can enjoy a traditional gaming experience while unknowingly utilizing Web3 infrastructure. Developers will also reduce the revenue-sharing with intermediaries, and after gaining more profits, will be able to continuously provide better products. "So how to make them profitable, I think this has to be achieved through the changes in these production relationships of Web3."

Why support Fair3?

After entering the Web3 industry, Wang Xin's identity seems no longer that of a serial entrepreneur, but rather a supporter and evangelist. He often shares his views on artificial intelligence and blockchain technology on social media, sometimes directly mentioning Fair3, which he is supporting. According to Wang Xin, Fair3 is not a "project" in the traditional sense, but an ecosystem centered around the core philosophy of "technological fairness."

Wang Xin stated that Fair3 originated as a pure Meme coin, and after a group of core members (the CTO team) took over, they began to think about a more far-reaching vision: not only focusing on the cultural attributes of the community but also building a truly decentralized ecosystem, allowing each individual to benefit from participation. Fair3 hopes to leverage the power of Web3 to challenge the various injustices caused by centralized algorithms and platform monopolies in traditional internet, transforming the culture of "accumulating sand into a tower" into tangible ecological value.

"Every transformation of production relations in history has solved the core problems of its time. Agriculture solved food issues, and industry solved capital issues," Wang Xin further stated. In today's "knowledge stage" and "attention stage," the monopoly of data and algorithms has led to ordinary users and content creators being heavily exploited. Mainstream platforms impose high commissions on creators, with e-commerce customer acquisition costs reaching 30-40%, and content distribution cuts even reaching 90%. These are all unfair practices. What Fair3 aims to do is to gather the "grains of sand" from countless small individuals, through community cohesion and voice, to make unfairness visible, and to leverage decentralized technology to achieve a shift from cultural construction to ecological implementation.

For example, the CTO team has organized several small-scale Meme culture creation and sharing events, where community members independently record "unfair stories" to document their personal experiences and support each other. Recently, the community also launched the "Takeout Fairness" campaign, encouraging community members to support a certain takeout platform and airdrop tokens to participants, revealing and correcting the unfairness of platform subsidies and commissions through actual consumption behaviors, etc.

Wang Xin revealed that the Fair overseas community is currently
