According to the latest data from the blockchain monitoring system Whale Alert, Tether Treasury minted 1 billion USDT stablecoins again through the Tron network on June 22 within the past hour. It is worth noting that this is the second large-scale minting operation of the day, bringing the total amount of newly added USDT to 2 billion.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino clarified that this batch of newly minted tokens falls under the "authorized but unissued" type of transaction. This means that these tokens will serve as a reserve for future issuance needs and on-chain exchange operations, rather than being immediately put into market circulation.

Such large-scale minting operations are often seen by the market as a potential signal of increased liquidity, which may indicate that institutional demand for crypto assets is rising. Tether's choice to conduct this operation on the Tron network also reflects the network's significant position in stablecoin trading.
